MEDICAL RESEARCH SCOTLAND

SUPPORTING THE NEXT GENERATION

 
Applications are now invited from Scottish Universities, in conjunction with trading companies involved in medically-relevant life sciences research, for the Medical Research Scotland PhD Studentship Awards, tenable from autumn 2018.
 
Ø    Up to 15, fully-funded 4-year PhD studentships, tenable from autumn 2018
Ø    Including stipend, UK/EU fees & contributions to laboratory & travel expenses
Ø    To be delivered in a Scottish University/Recognised Research Institution
 
The aim of these awards is to enhance the careers of scientists at an early stage of their career in health-related research in any of the biomedical, physical, clinical, engineering and mathematical sciences.  Complementing the universities’ own postgraduate programmes, the Medical Research Scotland PhD Studentships incorporate the additional commercial training needed to develop careers in an increasingly difficult and competitive market, while also helping to strengthen the country’s internationally-renowned biomedical research base.
